Why take the Enriched Air Diver Course

Why take the Enriched Air Diver Course

During these tough times, we are promoting our online theory courses. One course which is theory-based is the Padi Enriched Air Diver Speciality Course. This course is the most popular out of all the Speciality courses that Padi offers. For a limited time only you can book the course for €145 (instead of €250) here.

Here is 4 top reasons as to why you should complete the Padi Enriched Air Diver Course:

1 – Breathe less nitrogen when you dive.

Whilst your dive with Enriched Air you are exposed to less nitrogen levels in the cylinder and higher oxygen levels, which means you absorb less nitrogen into the body. With using this it can increase your no stop time during your dive and also increase you dive times, especially if you complete repitive dives in the day.

2 – Longer Bottom Times

A typical enriched air mix is between 32 – 36% oxygen, and this makes enriched air perfect for diving at shallower depths.

For example, an 18 meters dive with air, using the RDP table will give you a bottom time 56 minutes for a single dive. For the same depth but 32% enriched air mix you have a no stop limit of 95 minutes at 18 meters. This gives you a potential extra 39 minutes of bottom time. (Just don’t forget to keep checking those air gauges  )

3 - Work towards further qualification and learn about your dive computer

When planning your enriched air dives, you can use both the dive computers or RDP dive tables. Most divers now own their own dive computer and the vast majority are now compatible with Nitrox. If you don’t yet own a dive computer we can certainly help you out with this. We work alongside Cressi which is a well known dive manufacturer.

The enriched air diver course also gives you a great advantage if your planning on becoming a Padi Pro. When you take certified divers out and they are using Enriched Air you have the knowledge and understanding to help them analyse and work out there dive times.

4 – Enhance your holiday.

If you are thinking about taking a diving holiday then you can expect to complete a lot of repetitive dives. If you use Enriched Air this can extend your bottom time and could equate to hours of additional dive time over the course of your holiday. Think about how many more critters you might be able to see.

Keeping Amadores Beach Clean

As part of being a Padi Diving Centre each year its the dive centres responsibility to plan, promote and organise a beach clean up, with the Padi Project Aware Team. In 2018 Blue Water Diving adopted Amadores Beach as our designated area. Amadores is a man made beach which is nestled inbetween Puerto Mogan and Puerto Rico. Amadres beach was built in 2002 with crushed coral sand imported from the Carribean. The bay has grown in marine life and plants grow from the rocks, which has formed it as a nursery for barracuda, angel sharks, sea wrasse, cuttlefish, squid, damzels, sardines…. Adult stingrays, eagle rays and angel sharks can be found here.
